Mindy Kimura is a 2022 Mechanical Engineer graduate from the University of Portland. Shortly after graduating, Mindy began her career as an engineer for the Hawaii State Department of Transportation and the project manager for the Hawaii Road Usage Charge (HiRUC) Program. She is currently leading the effort to implement Hawaii’s RUC Program by July 1, 2025, the fourth state in the nation to adopt an RUC program. As an engineer and project manager, Mindy’s goals are to contribute to the building of a more innovative, resilient, and sustainable future for Hawaii’s transportation systems and for Hawaii as a whole.
