Sam Hendow, P.E., is a dedicated traffic engineer with over a decade of public and private sector experience. Serving nearly nine years with GDOT, Sam spent four years managing complex infrastructure projects before transitioning to advanced signal operations. Currently, as GDOT’s State Signal Operations Engineer for the metro Atlanta area, he specializes in large-scale event logistics. In this role, he designs and executes critical signal timing strategies to optimize ingress and egress for major global events, including the World Cup, Copa América, Club World Cup, and the College Football National Championship.
