Bobby Lewis is an infrastructure consulting executive focused on leveraging his 30 years of public transportation service to support state DOTs. Prior to HNTB, Bobby was chief operating officer at NCDOT, where he led overall operations and strategy for the department and managed an 80,000-mile highway network and an annual budget of $5.8 billion. At NCDOT, he led the effort to secure legislative authority for the state’s largest transportation revenue bond authorization, totaling $3 billion, and drove several initiatives to streamline NCDOT’s operations and project development processes. Bobby has been with HNTB for 6 years now. He has predominantly been supporting various DOT’s in the Southeast with their P3 programs, including GDOT, TDOT, and NCDOT. Bobby holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is married to Melissa Lewis, a Physician Assistant, and has a son and daughter, Jackson and Olivia.
